Introduction (Written By Abby. H and Sarah E.)
The halls are filled with torches, but darkness still lies in every corner, beckoning the creatures that crawl inside of the walls. A lord walks quickly, walking in long strides, running up the long spiral stone staircase, pausing only to take a breath. He doubles over, breathing hard, then stands straight, regaining his composure. The lord walks into the doorway with a new superiority. His king sits with a grim air about him. When he breaths you can see his breath as visible as smoke. He and several other lords sit at a map. The lord joins them, and the continue to pour over the map, used to the smoke that continues to crawl up the walls from the fireplace. Because, faraway, war has come upon this kingdom. For many years, the Medieval Ages have been thought to be dark and unwelcoming, yet are filled with tales of damsels in distress and dragons. Many of these tales are falsehoods, while many are based on truth. Although the Medieval Ages are often misinterpreted and misunderstood, there is a true story that is based on facts and evidence.

Project Purpose:
(Written by Sarah E. with support from Abby H.)
In this website we would like for everyone to have a good understanding of how medieval times helped us become how we are today. Most people do not completely understand the concept of Medieval Ages, so with this website we would like to introduce the idea that the Medieval times had no fairytales involved, and was much more then a bedtime story. Through the struggles and victories they had to face, they shaped their future and our present. We wish that the viewers of this website become familiar with the history and true tale of the Medieval Times.
